Tamir from the Tamir Triad by Lynn Flewelling. She's a hero to me. She's strong, smart, and loyal to the cause. And she was once a boy. How cool is that? A character that bothers me is ... any weak female who is supposed to be strong, like Pepper from the Ironman movie, or Padme from Star Wars.
